Straight Stairs
A straight stairlift is designed with a rail which cannot be bent. The track which the lift travels on is designed to run from the bottom of the stairs to the top step only.
The footrest of the stairlift will stop level with the top step. Upon reaching the top step, swivel the seat and put your feet safely onto the landing and step off.
A straight stairlift is at least half the price of a curved stairlift because the rails are simply cut to size. Additionally the technology required to make a stairlift motor work on a curved rail adds greatly to the cost.
Curved Stairs
A curved track stairlift can turn around bends in your stairs and can travel along landings and half landings. They are made according to the dimensions of your staircase. The rail can be fitted to the inside or the outside bend. Curved rails are bespoke to your staircase which means they are more expensive to buy than a straight stairlift. Our expert surveyors can help you decide which curved lift is most suitable for your requirements.
Narrow Stairs
As an independent stairlift company, we can choose from the whole market to ensure we specify the best stairlift for you. This is particularly important if you have a very narrow staircase as a lot of the manufacturers simply won’t have a suitable product for your stairs.
Reconditioned Lifts
We have a large range of pre owned stair lifts for straight and curved stairs. Buying a used stairlift can save you a lot of money compared to the cost of a new one. If you have a curved staircase then you still have to have a new bespoke rail manufactured. However, the cost saving could still be as much as £1000.
External Stairs
If you have stairs leading to your front door or steps in your garden an outdoor stairlift may be the answer. They are weatherproofed for external use and there are versions available for straight and curved stairs. All outdoor stair lifts are supplied with a cover for the chair and motor to help protect them from the elements.
Affordable Stairlift Rental Services
Our normal fee for straight stairlift rental is just £700 per year. This charge includes installation, removal, 12 months of rental fees and any servicing or repair work required. Rentals for longer periods than a year will be charged at £50 per month. We provide stairlift rentals to customers throughout Surrey, London and the home counties. Please note that we can only provide rental stairlifts for straight staircases. If you have a curved staircase, pleased contact our team to discuss your options.
