Wessex Wheelchair Home Lift

A couple from Hastings has seen the difference a Home Lift can make to people suffering from severe arthritic pain. Diana Hamilton, 53, has had arthritis since her late teens and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD) for over 10 years. The arthritis has caused chronic back problems and the COPD makes it difficult for her to go up and down the stairs. The breathlessness that this caused was making it more difficult to use the stairs in the standing stairlift she was using previously.

Home Lifts

Diana told us “I was finding it increasingly difficult to use the stairs standing up due to my back problems and COPD. Plus, the stairlift would stop with about three steps to go since it would not curve and I would have to get out and climb the three steps, which I found harder to do as my condition worsened.”

Diana and her husband decided to consult an occupational therapist who advised of a number of local firms they could speak to about alternative solutions. They settled on independent mobility expert, Dolphin Lifts, after receiving a quick response without a hard sell: “I phoned all the companies my OT suggested and found Dolphin to be the ones who responded best. Through Floor Lifts

“Getting a through the floor lift was the best decision we made. My previous stairlift was good, it provided me with 11 years of service, but it was just getting too difficult to be able to use it without my back hurting or me getting breathless going up those final few steps.
