Description
This is the old version Handi-Move body support which is a superb stainless steel device which automatically grips the users upper body as a result of pressure on the leg supports. Quicker and easier to use than a conventional hoist sling, the body support is an outstanding aid to independent transfers. The body support can only be used with Handi-Move hoisting products.
Disabled Access to Swimming Pools
An electrolytically polished stainless steel body support is available for transfers into swimming or spa pools.
Horse Riding Hoists for the Disabled
Many institutions that provide riding for the disabled use the body support system. Dolphin can also supply and install platform lifts and wheelchair lifts if these are also required.
The Handi-Move Ceiling Hoist can be used with the body support to easily lift a person onto and off a horse. Conventional slings can also be used but the body support is generally more user friendly because the rider can sit directly on the horses back. Certain disabilities will mean the body support isn’t suitable in which case a looped sling should be used.
The body support system can be used independently or with the assistance of a single carer depending on the users abilities. It is much faster and easier to fit than a normal sling and because it is made of stainless steel and doesn’t have any mositure absorbing materials, it is safer and more hygieni
